So the other day, I was talking to these two people. Good way to generically start a blog, I think. That way nobody has any undo information that may give away my secret identity... umm yeah, anyway.
So it was a man and a women. Caucasian women, African-American man... or for the un-PC, white woman and black man... (there is a reason I told you this, other than to make a sociological statement). So yes, talking to them, and many people who have just met me, usually think that I am a lot younger than I actually am. I am 28 (currently as I write this blog, but to all of those future readers... I may be dead... Ooooh spooky, you're reading the blog of a ghooooost!) and people usually think that I am in my late teens or early twenties. (I'll tell other age related stories later.)
So I was a little taken aback when the man did not make mention how young I was, but rather asked me if I perm my hair? Now, I am often mistaken for gay (see previous blogs). However, I am not, and therefore do not perm my hair (un-PC enough for ya yet?) I told him no, that I just have naturally curly hair... I also told him that it is very unmanageable most of the time because of the curliness (OK, so see why people think I'm gay?). He chuckled, most likely at the unmanageable comment. I told him that it really needs cut soon. He then wondered if it gets all fro-y (hence the previous mention of his ethnicity) and I told him no, more like a curly, poofy high-top. He thought this was pretty funny. Sadly, I'm sure, you do not... and now I wonder what I was thinking.
But really, it seems that many too many men make hygiene or beauty related comments to me much too often. I was once talking to an elderly couple, and afterwards one of them told me I had the most sparkling, blue eyes. And it was the elderly man! What the...! Now, not that an elderly women telling me this would have got me all sexed up, but at least it would have been someone with two X chromosomes, and people with Klinefelter's Syndrome don't count. And that is your obscurely referenced joke of the day!
